Karisa King

Cindi Moon Reed

Reed never meant to make Las Vegas her home, but she found a kindred spirit in this upstart town. From trolling red carpets for celebrity gossip to writing in-depth feature stories and slightly self-indulgent personal essays, Reed has explored the kitschy yet endearing pioneer spirit of the Silver State. She is a staff writer for the Las Vegas Weekly. Reed has worked on all sides of the fence: freelancer, staff writer, and as an editor who hired many freelancers. Her past work includes bylines in the LA Times, NY Post and five-plus years as the founding arts & entertainment editor of Vegas Seven magazine. Follow her on Twitter @cmoonreed and at

Sharie Johnson

Johnson is a Superman fan who does public relations, in that order. Since she graduated from college, the former Emmy nominated journalist has chased news stories in two countries and three states, including Las Vegas, Nevada. However, after becoming a wife and mom, she found a new niche, she calls "the other side of News". Sharie owns PR Insiders, helping businesses, non-profits and celebrities share their story with the world. Sharie is also active in the community, helping to host an annual girls summit, teaching girls ages 5-18 about self confidence, combating bullying and the importance of an education.

Mary Hynes

Hynes is the director of Corporate Communications for MGM Resorts International. Prior to joining MGM, she worked for more than 25 years as a newspaper reporter and editor, most recently as the city editor for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
